Chris seen Max kill someone when they both were children but he doesn’t know that it was Max

He doesn't know and he hasn't seen him kill anyone...yet. He had a slight suspicion at the beginning when Max sat in that chair making that finger gun (because that was exactly how he imagined the murder of the reporter in the orphanage [I think it was] went down) but that's it.
