I think he loves kouta. I’m not sure if for his ex he really meant to fake it or not but I’m sure he faked it with the black haired guy. He’s known as a playboy before but he changes when he meets kouta. He realizes he can’t go back to his playboy ways because he’s afraid of seeing kouta cry. When kouta cried after punching maki for “almost kissing” the ex, I think maki changed as he later tells the black haired guy that he can’t stand to see kouta cry and that he’s afraid kouta will leave him. I’m glad yuya came into the picture to give maki a taste of his own medicine.

okay so to recap the glasses-seme tried to kiss his "ex?" then tried to kiss that other black-haired guy, then he was toxic when he tried to get his memories back, trying to talk to Yuta.
