So, from the latest chapter, the Father is saying that the partner she chose is unworthy and not good enough for her. That same partner visits her and apologizes because he can’t be her partner anymore and tells her that there’s a rumor about her having a lover so all those that applied to partner with her backed out (remember the cuff links that she wanted to gift to her dad? people misunderstood and thought she wanted to give it to a lover). Later, Max visits her again and suggests her to find someone else (because he wants to be her partner) but she was dense and says something about a relative instead.
