He may be typical cool seme for YOU. It doesn't mean he'll be a 'typical cool seme' for SHOUGO. Just because YOU like Harumi, it doesn't mean SHOUGO would like Harumi that way.

It's scary how fangirls put their own thoughts and desires to others, instead of thinking about the character's wants and desires. Or just because Shougo is bi and likes Hina means he would like Harumi as well. It doesn't work that way. Just because you're gay or bi does not mean you fall for ANY GUY. And it's horrible when people say 'you should have chosen that guy instead' as though the person's feeling, preference doesn't matter.

Shougo and Harumi was NEVER going to happen because Shougo NEVER liked Harumi that way. And what's wrong with Harumi liking Akio?

You really don't care about the characters themselves do you? About their feelings and their wants? Do you read manga wanting just the two hot guys together instead of them being happy with the ones they ACTUALLY like? Don't self insert yourself to the character. What you're doing is very selfish. That's not the point. You self insert to a character you RELATE to. You can't self insert yourself to EVERY character and put YOUR THOUGHTS and YOUR DESIRES before them. That's being selfish.

It's like YOU seeing your friends fall in love and you self insert yourself as them and tell them 'hey you should have gone with this guy instead.' Instead of respecting their feelings.

It shows that you DO NOT care about the characters themselves and you read EVERY manga ONLY to self insert yourself and put forth YOUR own desires. What's the point of reading then? You can say that you self insert yourself for one or two mangas where you RELATE to the character in the manga itself. But ALL your comments are the same, showing that you did not even TRY to understand the character in ANY manga you read. Your reasoning for him to be with harumi instead of hina is because 'harumi is a typical seme' instead of 'harumi makes shougo happier'. You. DO.NOT.CARE.about the character at all. By not trying to think about the character FIRST before YOURSELF. By saying Shougo should have been with Harumi instead. You are NOT CARING about the characters.

Put yourself in the author's shoes. They wrote these wonderful characters. Thought about how the relationship develops.

And YOU come in. Take the character for yourself. Disregard all the character's personality, all the time the author spent making the character what he is. And comment to say 'oh he should have chosen harumi instead'. Showing that you did not try to understand the character at all. That you did not read the manga for the relationship that built but went for the hottest guy there was. Not the type of person Shougo wanted. Not the person Shougo fell in love with. Disregard the time spent Shougo took thinking of Hina, loving Hina quietly, respecting Hina's 'allergy' eventhough he was in pain. The times Shougo cried thinking he couldn't have Hina. The times Shougo spent loving Hina. Then Hina, the person who had an allergy, had horrible distrust, a trauma if you will. But overcame it for Shougo. Do you see that at all? Do you care about the characters at all?

I like to insert myself to the char so i'd be understand the char more n brin myself into the story so I kno what author desire that the way I tho.. but if u disagreed, I'd b thinkin that u had ur own thoughts n didn force myself on u.. I know what you mean. Everybody's entitled to their own opinion and anon is forcing his/ her views on Uruh4ni. I mean, it's a free world. We can't all like the same characters or storyline all the time.

Because I've already said. The person I replied to has done this for ALL and ANY manga they've read. Others may have done it once or twice. That's different. When those people say, 'hey he should have fallen in love with this guy' it's usually because the uke is treated horribly by their seme/looked happier with the other person. Meaning, they've followed the story. Identified with the character and said 'hey actually he may be happier with this guy instead.'

This person literally just wants a threesome and the hot 'typical' seme. Because that's how ALL their topics are. I'm not choosing this person randomly. NO. I saw what the person wrote. Looked at their profile. Realised that they truly NEVER cared about the mangas they read and replied. If I chose the person just because of this one time, they are saying such a selfish thing, then I would have to reply to a whole lot of people. It's only THIS person that has pushed their self insert dream to the extreme.

It's like:

Author: Here. These are the characters I've made. I made their personality this way. I made them fall in love this way. I made it so their personality would like/love this guy. I would develop their relationship so they would fall in love with each other. They would talk their problems out. They would overcome obstacles for each other.

Person: I don't care about all that. I just want to be the uke character and choose the person depending on who I like. Who cares about the time spent making the character's personality, building their relationships, giving more hints on the type of person they are or plot!!

Person: Hot seme is hot. Threesomes are hot.

Person: Who cares if the threesome or love triangle would ruin Shougo's character? Shougo fell in love sweetly, sacrificed his pain for the man. But add a love triangle! Fact: Because first off, if you DID do that. That would mean your reactions of different stories would be different depending on the stories themselves.

Fact; If you did do that, you would have understood the character. Posted a topic in regards to the character themselves. Thinking this character is this way, and I understood the author. And I would choose this option because I understand the character and I believe he would have chosen this person.

Reality: Harumi is a 'typical seme'. Harumi is hot. Shougo should have chosen Harumi instead because I want Harumi.

You ARE not self-inserting to understand the character more. You are self inserting because you want to have your own fantasies without caring about the characters. You CAN'T say that you are self inserting to understand the author or the character's more when your actions speak differently.

And please stop saying 'our viewpoint or our opinions' are different. Yes, we can have different opinions but you can't tell people 'no you can't have an opinion on my opinion'.
