Exactly I am so on your team I was coming into the comments to say this exact same thing but you already said it for me so I don't have to do lot's of typing all he wanted was her love I think he could have at least got someone the author could have made him some kind of happy end or at least a side story

I agree with darin being happy but with berry??? Nah... She found someone right for her who helped her grow as a person. Darin & berry were bad for each other. Darin needs someone who'll help him grow & none of tge characters were right for that role.
