the amount of comments I've seen saying that Mildred favours Ashley because she's the mc.......y'all ok? out of the three sisters ashley is BY FAR the most childish and uneducated one because she lost her mother at a very young age and her father neglected her and held no regard for her future or her education. Mildred is teaching her things she should've learned as a CHILD. if y'all had an 18 year old and a 6 year old y'all would obviously pay more attention to the 6 year old because as a child they would need more care and guidance than the 18 year old. that doesn't mean you don't love your 18 year old.
