What happen to him?
slight spoiler alert, i guess? although cale loves saying he's trash and wants to live as a slacker, he kinda does a lot of things. and most of those require him to be pushed to his limits to the point that he always coughs blood. which makes everyone around him very protective of him but they can't make him stop and do nothing bec only he can do certain stuff so they just try to support him as much as they could.

But doesnt he cough blood because of the Vitality of the Heart working hard to keep him alive? In the elf incident he only fainted cause the he overused the red lightning and injured himself, then the VOTH kicked in repairing his body taking his blood to heal him. At least from what I remember.

nah, he keeps on coughing blood bec his plate is too small yet. tho, he is kinda stable rn bec his plate is bigger (tho still weak) and he has all the elements to help balance his body out but still his body is weak. the voth makes his recovery faster though so there's that. but i think he rarely coughs blood now after he got the sky eating water but he gets unconscious instead for weeks. when choi han uses his ancient powers, it takes him some time before he starts coughing blood bec his plate is bigger and stronger. the white star coughs blood when using his ancient powers more than his limit bec he still doesn't have all the elements thus making his body unstable.
I hope cale won't end up dying for saving everyone ┗( T﹏T )┛
