da-im's ex tries to sabotage the cafe but setting up a competitor in the same neighbourhood. on-guym's cafe loses customers, so they decide to agree to film a reality show with celebrities (the type where kpop idols work part-time in a cafe)

on-gyum used to date this girl in high school who is self-centred af and has a victim complex. rich guy finds out and wants to team up with her to make our main couple split up. so he approaches her as a sponsor saying that if she works with him he will support her in the entertainment industry.

background about the ex: she has a horrible personality. she dumped him cruelly and looked down on him for liking flowers, was jealous of his good relationship with his parents as she was an orphan herself, and when his parents passed away she broke up with him. he wanted to stay friends at least but she just left saying smth around the lines of people are meant to be alone in life

so on-gyum's ex becomes the celebrity filming at his cafe. his thinks on-gyum is still waiting for her to return to him and wants to sabotage his current relationship. and the director of the reality show wants good ratings so he wants a romance theme like of old friends meeting again and falling for each other. even tho on-gyum has repeatedly rejected and said he has a girlfriend the director argues that he signed the contract and that if he backs out he will have to pay $$

the ex keeps making passes which on-gyum rejects, but the show is edited to make it look as if he reciprocates her feelings. da-im being da-im a 10/10 communicator doesnt see an issue as she trusts on-gyum

da-im's ex releases pictures of da-im and on-gyum dating, so the internet is furious cos they feel lied to (since the reality show made it look like he had a thing for his ex) director chews ongyum out and tells him not to meet da-im for awhile. but da-im just finds it exciting that she has to secretly meet on-gyum basically she isnt fazed

the 2 ex-es (da-im and ongyum's) realise this aint working out so they try smth else. basically the reality show is ongoing at multiple places, and there is this other idol who is also currently filming it but at some other shop. he is also jisoo's older brother (uk the little kid at da-im's school who has appeared a few times, with the girl with black braids). he has a stalker/saesang who has broken into his home before.

on a day where da-im is also on set, on-gyum's ex takes a selfie with da-im and that idol talking in the background and uploads it intentionally. they want the stalker to harm da-im (da-im's ex wants to be the hero who rescues her from the stalker and make her realise he is the one for her *vomit*)

but jua (redhead bestie and the rich guy's fiance) catches on to his plans and helps her book a hotel to stay at and hires a bodyguard for her. the stalker tries to harm jisoo (the younger brother of the idol) and da-im catches her in the act and they call the police.

one of the reality show staff who da-im is nice to and who was treated like shit by the crz female idol (on-gyum's ex) realised that she had purposely taken a selfie to implicate da-im, so she writes an anonymous post about what she did on the set (basically she confessed to on-gyum all of a sudden without any discussion w anyone beforehand but obv on-gyum flat out rejected)

she becomes kind of a laughing stock, and pulls out of the reality show. she goes to confront da-im, and slaps her. but there was a reporter who managed to take pictures of it. the reporter goes to jua (her fam runs the biggest reporting co in kr i think) so she buys over the picture of the slapping and releases it. the reporter also had photos of that girl entering the rich guy's car (cos they were in cahoots) but jua said she didn't want those and he was free to do whatever he wanted with them, so obv he released them

all this while da-im has been getting weird messages threatening her, which she thought was the stalker's doing. BUT one day she is sent a pic of a the guy's feet at her doorstep saying im at your house. she freaks out and sddnly her ex appears to help her. but she is sharp and realises when he let's slip that he knew a guy was at her house. turns out he was the one crz mf. he goes on about i wanted to show u u can only rely on me. she trashes him and leaves

the director is also fired and someone else takes over. they continue the filming but with 3 male celebrities instead (idols from the same boy group as jisoo's brother). the show is a hit

1 year later, on-gyum confesses that he is nero at the cat forum meeting, actl he had revealed it in their chat before but everyone thought he was joking. he wants to propose to da-im but cant decide how to BUT da-im actually had a whole set up planned and SHE proposed to him (it was fking cute)

also jua broke of her engg with that rich guy cos she realised he was a total psycho. and her mum also encouraged her to do what she wanted. after images of him and the female idol was released, his family also suffered and now they keep bugging jua to get engaged with him again (how the tables turn...)
