Yeah, it was all very rushed. Also I didn't get a strong sense that Kyou loved either Kida or Yuu all that much. The fact that he let Yuu (who's kinda creepy tbh) into his house was also strange to me. There was never any real conflict. It was just, okay, let's make it easy for them to move on to the sex and get together.
That's what was bothering me. You put it really well.
