Don't get why would some authors make the ukes (specially) so alike in all their stories. Not only the looks, but everything else. I can stand that they're the typical deer on the headlights and that they look like a girl, but the fact that they're usually so weak and needy, annoys the hell out of me. I Just always forget about it.
