People were already thirsting over her when she first appeared in one panel and was complete stranger, it has always mainly been about looks with Joy. That’s why despite being the most bland, underdeveloped character in the entire story she still got bitches crying and simping for her in the comments.

yeah but at least she treats yuna better than dahye and when they broke up she didn't make that big of a fuss abt it and they both ended on good terms unlike dahye and yuna

We have yet to see how Dahye would treat Yuna while being in a relationship and friendship wise Dahye has always been a good friend to Yuna, so idk why you are trying to sell this “Dahye treats Yuna badly narrative”. And yes Joy was very nice for ending things on good terms with Yuna.

I mean, obviously that everyone here is biased by appearances. Everyone here is beautiful, I don't think any of the characters are ugly. But I don't think it's only about her looks. While, yes, Joy as a character is disappointing, undeveloped. But as a person, she is very likeable. On the other hand, there is Yuna and Joy, both beautiful, they have more character than Joy, but their actions make them unlikeable and honestly their development doesn't feel that satisfying, at least for me. They may be relatable, that, however, doesn't make anything they did alright. My problem with them is, that none of their actual problems seems to get resolved, all they care about is who does the other like. The best outcome would be if none of the ships sailed, they all should firstly properly resolve their own problems, sort out their thoughts and see the bigger picture. There are two more chapters left, but I can't see this actually having a proper execution.

From the way I see it, I can't comprehend how can anyone still choose a ship, but everyone has their opinion and I try to respect it. I get that some of these Joy fans are annoying, but you seem to be just disrespectful. You are not giving showing them how to properly act.

i mean, would people like dahye if she was ugly? probably not. the point of the manhwa is for characters to be attractive so that people can ship them, right? so the purpose behind the main character's aesthetic is to make them more attractive to the reader anyways, doesn't matter if she were ugly cause then she probably wouldn't be the 2nd love interest or she would have an entirely different concept (like that one bl comic where popular guy falls in love with the "ugly kid")
