Chapter 3:
Maki brings Arata for a checkup. Then Maki's friend asks if he will erase Arata's imprint function. He says that he no longer sees Arata and Ren as the same people and that he has slowly fallen for Arata. Maki thinks: 1) if i do erase it, how will he act? 2) will he become a normal man and fall for women? 3) what if he meets my brother again, will he fall for him instead of me? Maki helps Arata build a birdhouse. Maki has a nightmare and tells Arata to tell him that if Arata has any secrets, Arata should confide in Maki right away. They talk about how each other feel and Maki says, you must think I'm a jerk. Arata says, "I don't know who is troubling you/occupying your thoughts but whoever that person is, I am jealous and wish it was me." Maki asks "do you want to replace him?" next scene- garden; Maki tells Arata that they will take a walk in the next spring and Arata says okay.





Chapter 4:

brother (i forgot his name so i'll call him A) arrives, sees Arata, and asks "no way, that can't be. is that Ren?" arata replies, "A-san? is that you?" maki goes into shock and sends arata away asap. maki tells A that arata is just a humanoid impritn of ren. A asks ren has he ever visited the place where ren is and maki says in all these 7 years, never once. next scene- arata asks maki if he's hungry. maki says later. i'm in a bad mood. arata asks "what's wrong. you look so sad. why?" maki says "because you looked at A with those eyes." arata says "that person isn't me." maki's thoughts "i know, that's ren's memory" arata says, the one i like is you, maki. maki's thoughts: is the real reason why i am sad is because the feelings you had for me were imprinted? bedroom scene- maki tells arata that he will erase arata's imprint function. maki says: even if the imprint function is erased, i hope you will stay here with me. i want you by my side. arata says: maki san, this has nothing to do with imprinting. the one i truly like is maki san. maki san: then do you agree? arata: you have to promise me; even if the imprinting function is gone, if my feelings remain the same then as an apology, you have to listen to my wishes. this isn't an excessive demand is it? maki: okay i know. arata: maki san you are so irresponsible, you coward. maki: sorry. arata: promise then. maki: ok. maki: (feeds arata the pills) i will tell you the passcode. repeat after me.


Chapter 5 (i am recalling this from memory).
arata goes back to the lab. maki visits ren's grave. what happened was ren was killed by that secret organization that makes those humanoid. maki and his friend were investigating this case that time and his friend finds ren's mutilated body, tells maki to stay away, but maki doesn't listen, sees ren, and breaks down. some time later, arata wakes up with his imprint function gone but maki refuses to see arata. (i think 1 year? or half a year has passed). maki's friend visits maki and asks, "aren't you going to pick up arata? this much time has passed already." maki says "yeah i will." maki then sees arata by the house gate. they run in each other 's arms. maki says "i was going to pick you up." arata says "i couldn't wait a second any longer."
