Spoilers ahead! If you loved the comic, I’m happy for you, but you might not like my review to much. It’s kind of all over the place. ^_^;
I don’t know why, but this feels kind of disappointing. I guess it’s because I was expecting something a little more... just. MORE. Like I thought it was really going to lead up to the AI being some kind of mastermind (you know, really have Sophia and the doctor on their toes), but she really was just-okay, I don’t want to say she was throwing a tantrum, because she did honestly have a good reason to be upset, but all the adults kept treating her like she WAS just being an unhappy child and for the most part knew how to handle her. That whole first meeting with the AI and Sophia was boring.
I guess what I’m saying is that it kept feeling like it was going to lead to some big risk/big reward, but it just fell flat to me. Every time it felt like it was about to build up, it started to fizzle out. I didn’t quite like the way the flashbacks were handled either. By the time I realized just where we were in the timeline, I felt mildly annoyed because I wanted to be with Carl’s AI instead. I wanted to care about her more, but I couldn’t because we focused so much on the others talking ABOUT her.
