i agree but from the convo jooin and cain just had, it’s clear that he’s hiding something from jooin so that’s what makes me think he’s suspicious rn
I have a suspicion that just like Yahwi they've met before and just Jooin doesn't remember. Either way even if Cain is hiding something at this point I don't think it can top all the abuse and mental abuse that Jooin has went through with being in the toxic relationship with Yahwi.

That doesn't justify his actions at all, you choose if how you grow up fully influences you. He choose to be abusive at most... it doesn't matter if he "didn't mean for it to happen" he still let it happened even when he was that he was hurting Jooin. Just because you weren't loved as a child doesn't mean you don't know how to, before meeting Jooin once again he had the opportunity to learn again.
