I mean I am pretty sure rape is non-consensual sex but I mean what do I know it’s not like the seme is doing something he doesn’t want to do so he doesn’t end up in jail but I guess I’m the only who see that also Killing Stalker is consensual yes it’s toxic but both parties are ok with it being toxic so this manga and Killing Stalker are not on the same page (yet)
Ok Killing stalking was definitely non-con(even outside of sex) until the uke got Stockholm syndrome and started getting into it (which is similar to what’s happening here as the first chapter shows that the seme sub got into it after being pushed to a certain point like KS uke). Also sure if you want to get nitty and gritty about the consensual stuff, you can say he wasn’t fully consenting because he was being blackmailed, but every moment even in his monologue he was deliberately choosing to follow uke dom’s orders. Also going to jail for your wrongdoings is the right way to go so please don’t make it seem like he’s a victim. It’s like if I was a murderer (of course this is an exaggeration, but it’s just to make it clearer to understand) and I got caught by someone, and then that someone said “have sex with me or I’m telling the cops,” and I chose to have sex with them instead, sure sure if you really tried you could technically label that “non-consent” but it’s not like I don’t have a choice. I do very much have the choice of turning myself in for murder and facing the consequences I should be facing.
Also aight if Killing Stalking wasn’t the best example, you can pick any from a handful of other rape yaoi that have a high rating. Like painter of the night (I’m not up to date on that manga but from what I’ve read,) pretty sure that was rape and people received that manga pretty well.
But imo I’m not bashing on KS or Warehouse or any because though they are terrible relationships, toxic, and contain rape, they aren’t romanticizing it so there’s really nothing wrong with it. And overall I just don’t see why people are bashing this manga for being toxic and rape-y (even when it’s not that rapey) when it’s not even romanticized. It’s not trying to cover up or soften what is an incredibly toxic relationship, it’s plainly showing it as toxic, as it should.
I get it if people dislike the manga out of personal preference of course. But to say it’s bad for being toxic and contains possible rape just doesn’t make sense. And that can confuse the author and people who actually like the manga because they could start to question if they’re bad for liking the manga which is just absurd. And I see this on so many mangas, not just this one.

Yo why are people so pressed about the toxicity here. Like in Killing Stalking and Warehouse where I believe it is arguably more toxic, people are like “oOoO this is so fucked up but I love it” and they have 9star+ rating. This manga isn’t romanticizing rape or anything (whereas warehouse does) it’s toxic but it’s not advocating toxicity. Just like horror/thriller movies show crazy psychopaths- it’s not like they’re advocating murder lol? Also, you have to understand that technically the seme sub CAN stop whenever he wants. Sure, it’s blackmailing and it’s still toxic, but all the seme sub has to do is be ok with his wrongdoings being outed. He is deliberately choosing to hide his wrongdoings by complying with uke dom’s orders. It’s not even like the normal scenario of blackmailing where someone blackmails an innocent person by filming some sex tape of them and threatens to leak it. Here is someone who caught someone doing bad things, who should really just out him from the get go, but he’s actually giving the seme sub a ‘choice’ instead, so technically he’s going ‘easier’ on the seme sub. The uke dom has every right to - and SHOULD honestly just expose the seme sub’s wrongdoings but he’s not. To me this is a toxic relationship for sure, but this is not rape.
