i was literally thinking the same thing, like how can you expect a CHILD to come look for YOU? it’s not his responsibility to reach out to a parent who abandoned him in a toxic household.
What also bugs the hell out of me is that she knew where he was up until he dropped out and left home. "Oh your father said you didn't want to see me." So the hell what, I would have found a way to communicate with my son. He would have to tell me himself he didn't want to see me. After he dropped out, I would have done everything I could to find him. She so full of shit.
She left the dad, found someone new, got a divorce. She didn't want new guy knowing she had a child, so she never bothered even once to visit or even call. Then blame him, the child who had no idea how to even begin to look for her. Who grew up in a toxic abusive home having to pretty much fiend for himself.
