The translator notes ruined my reading quite a lot. They were negative about everything and even tho I felt bad for Minho (in this case) already, it interrupted the flow so much with this plain negativity. The notes are small so I did my best to ignore them, but when the translator puts a * on the words of the narration or dialogue it makes me think they are notes necessary to understand what the characters are saying. Usually translator notes about what they think of the scene or the characters are small and on the sides and DON'T put a * in the middle of the actual narration. I would appreciate it so much if they noted what they think without using the *
I repeat, I am ok with the translator putting their notes on the side like they did, but I would love for them to not put a * in the middle of the sentences that leads to their note

I kept reading the notes thinking it was some Korean thing that doesn’t translate well to English but it was just the translator hating on everything she’s doing. I don’t want to spend every few chapters hearing about how toxic and horrible she is. I’m reading this with an open mind so I’m not making any strong opinions on any of the characters until it ends because personally, it’s more enjoyable that way. None of the characters are saints so singling her out because she’s true to her colours is a bit unfair, even if she’s toxic.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m thankful that the translator is giving us chapters but maybe leave their contempt for her in a translators note at the end with page references.
