I think she said it since she has a fear of fire and also has that type of scar. To her, her scar probably still hurts in some way or another, so she’s probably just curious and concerned.
I don't know if you ever have gotten hurt before... But typically if someone has gone through pain and sees someone go through something similar. It is normal for people to worry and ask "Was it scary?" or "Does it still hurt?" This shit doesn't just happen in manga.
why does every mc has to say "does it hurt?" when they see a big scar on someone's face and the person acts all surprised, like- why can't you say something else? no hate but, its a common thing to say in these types of stories.
