just caught up, this is so much better than aku no hana esp in terms of pacing. I was really shocked and iffy initially with the whole mother son dynamic but it feels less icky as you continue reading because spoiler .... ....
he actually hates his mother so we see less of them being close in an uncomfortable way. Though i doubt i would have read this if i knew the actual plot but had to continue it since i got the physical copies without knowing the plot
