Basically when she was born, she had a health condition (something related to asthma, i forgot) which required money, and since her mom invested her whole fortune on that stupid ass dad *vomits* she couldn't afford it. Thats why she had to call the dad saying jiu is a boy. If not he probably wont care if jiu lives or not cuz that ugly ass bitch fam wrecker was about to give birth to another boy (who we all hate) too.
As for why it continues til now, probs cuz if jiu was known as a girl they wont get financial support (well before reincarnation anyways) and that the mom will probably get divorced, lost all her investments, and get kicked out of the company. Know that the mom thought it was the best decision for jiu.
