100% agree. Red River was good at 1st... but then it just repeated stuff like story plots till I got to the [point that I skipped chapters to the end and Still understood what happened, may not have had all the details, but man it was the same story... and kept repeating patterns..; only thing that changed was who died and which allies or friends were present.
From Far Away is my absolute favorite! Great story, great pacing, didn't feel like there were fillers, funny at times (not wrong times where you make the comment' Really!?!'), it barrowed stuff but also felt new and the story drew me in, heck even the villains were under the care of the author rather than portrayed in only one light. Even had times where I was on the edge of my seat.
<sigh> if only I'd lose my memories just to be able to reread this and fall in love with it again XD
XD
The hard part is finding manga as good as this, I know I enjoyed Takane to Hana, and a lot of others. If you know any I'd love to see them.
tail of the moon was good but MC was wishy washy and just when you think she's finally got her act together ... she reverts back after a few short chapters ... no more than 5 ╥﹏╥ it was horrible, I wanted to see character growth.
Naruto was great for the 1st 5 volumes... then became a war manga with side development, same with Bleach.
... great now I'm just complaining, oh well just gonna reread it XD.
came here after a suggestion by another mangago fellow's comment on the similarity between Red River and this manga. This manga reminded me of Hanatsuki Hime. I really like how this manga had a closure with the MC's family left in japan :D
