Ok, it could still be the guy he stole the watch from. Rich guys would most likely just replace it if they liked it enough, or may have had more the one to start with. Nice teaser though...

Hey, THAT's an interesting thought too... I was thinking he might have given the watch to someone else. After all, it may be a bit too early for the cheating boyfriend being kidnapped already...
Or not. I guess we'll see (either way, I'm not as stressed about this one as the bestie) ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

I was also thinking killer bought the watch from cheater, to plant on the next victim, to enjoy all the reactions from mc when he see's it. Or yes, that cheater gave it to another lover, or sold it for pocket change, as well. So many plot twists, well played, watch!

Hahaaa, a fellow theorist, I see ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶ I like your thoughts.
Especially the first part you said sounds very in character for him, in my opinion. Messing with him by somehow arranging things in such a way so that he only sees that watch first and *thinks* it's the bf, despite it ultimately not being him... I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if he tried something like that.

I think this is really well constructed so far, for making it possible to come up with so many different possibilities of how it could go. I'm honestly enjoying trying to pick up all the small details and attempting to figure out what *might* actually be going on...
I mean in general as well - like what are those killer's true motives, does he actually have some pattern we don't know about yet? Also, I've really been wondering what's behind him seemingly alluding to thinking of Ah-in as the "main character", and why the key factors for "creating a charming villain" he spoke about earlier in front of those students seemed to coincide so much with Ah-in's life, considering his childhood ("abuse", "poverty") and current life regarding his relationship ("betrayal"). Is he maybe planning to groom him into a killer, or to frame him for those murders? Or maybe I'm reading too much into things... ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ I'd love to hear your thoughts on this as well, by the way, if you happen to feel like sharing :)
Either way, I really like how this one is actually making the reader *think* like some of the really good crime novels :)
