A theory I have is that I think it's more that she is scared that her brother will go nut so with his magic and hurt more people. Though we know Hexion will beat the shit out of him but probably in her eyes he is much more terrifying. After years of abuse she know that he won't hurt her in away because Duke Bifta needs her still but what about other servants. Heck Hexion almost got hurt if she hadn't warned him to move out of the way in the right direction. Adele gurl it's great that you weren't hurt/touched by your maniac brother this time bUT HE HURT THE BUTLER. HOW COULD YOU JUST LET HIM WALK AWAY LIKE THAT. THE BUTLER IS AN OLD MAN. FRAGILE BONES. LOOK AFTER THE NICE ELDER PLS. At least the Grand Duke was protective and slapped the brat for hurting his people. But I was very disappointed in her for being so lenient.
I would've tortured the brother for at least an half an hour for hurting the butler ╥﹏╥ poor mister butler...
