I have a long rant coming~

Sooooooooo... I feel so uncomfortable with Mikhael's outfit (it looks so good but it's just so unnecessary) and at the same time, I LOVE THAT I'M FEELING THIS WAY.

Feeling weirded out by the hypersexualization, slavery, and sexual control over these male homunculus makes me realize something really important and I find this "feeling" to be interesting. Realizing that I feel so uncomfortable with Mikhael's boob window just goes to show that the hypersexualization of women have become so normalized and "natural", yet it still proves to be as big of an issue as these male homunculus' treatment. Even as a woman, seeing women treated as sex objects and slaves does not effect me as much as it should and this is a problem. I am really glad that the gender roles have reversed in this story because it illustrates the disgusting treatment towards women in fiction and nonfiction. Presenting this problem of hypersexualization and sexual objectification through the lens of males as the objects of sexual gratification showcases how absurd and disgusting their treatment is; yet, the trope of female slavery and objectification has become so ingrained in our brains that it takes a man to take on the role in order for us to see how off-putting this phenomenon truly is. I'm not saying "I'm glad men finally feel what we do" nor am I saying "women have had it worse" because I am not trying to play a victim but I found it incredibly insightful to throw a trope on its head and force the readers to see how debilitating objectification is, especially when it is gendered. Lol, I'm just in that kind of mood; the mood to overanalyze EVERYTHING.
