Agreed. Useless FL are insufferable but they can’t be perfect either, there’s 0 narrative tension; no matter how impossible the odds Elise will make it and everyone will love her forever and ever. Dear authors, there’s middle ground to be explored xD
I’m only on like chapter 54? But it rly gets exhausting reading how “perfect” Elise is and how she’s good at everything and everyone loves her and she always says the right thing. It makes for a boring female lead and story. So far her imperfections is your usual ignorance u find in fl and that she couldn’t shoot a gun (way to go stereotypes). So ngl yea she could’ve been written better
