Usually I can tolerate the kind of MLs in these kinds of books but this one really ticked me off. I totally agree with you. His love doesn’t look like anything more than a child who saw that the toy he wasn’t playing with anymore got picked up by someone else. Like I can actually forgive him for that shitty way he treated her when they were young. She was young. You make stupid mistakes when you’re young. But he totally expects to just swoop in to her life as if the last 8 years didn’t happen????? I kind of wished she was a little stronger in her resistance to him. It looked like to me that he was totally using their attraction to each other to manipulate her just because he suddenly is “in love” with her. I cannot roll my eyes hard enough to that.
