It is kind of funny to me that people are so mad at her for not realizing things when: 1. The Duke only ever shows apathy or anger around her or even outright say he loves her from what we've seen. 2. He never seems to actually attempt to let her know why he isn't around 3. No one else around her ever bothers to tell her how much the Duke loves her. This story is everyone misunderstanding and dense towards the feelings of others and it makes it fun but its not one person's fault on their own.
