The only thing he did wrong was not having a discussion alone with MC, they really needed to have, at least, three hours of conversation on their first meeting. I saw people mentioning that they hate him because he hit MC, I know violence is never an option to made, but he did it because MC offer him to be sex buddies and that was actually pretty insulting to their previous love (MC is not at fault because he was desperate but even him realized that what he said was wrong)
