People just hate on the nice shy girls for whatever reason. I remember people also bashing on Tohru when Fruit Basket was still ongoing. The reason usually being she is too nice, girly, and "weak." Being traditionally feminine and reserved is seen as weak. Being "girly" is seen as weak. Ever notice whenever someone praises a heroine as strong she is almost always tomboyish, a tsundere, and rough? Just my take on it.
I apologize if I come off as being rude to you but voicing an opinion can be hurtful too, just you like have every right to have an opinion then I too have a right to have an opinion. If someone likes Onodera, he or she can feel that they are being attacked and the way some people describe her are very unflattering and can be written in a more civilized manner. Maybe you are right and you don't like unnecessary coursing but don't exclude yourself and the comment sections from it because all of us are at fault to doing so.
