I agree, actually. I can't put my finger on it, but the anime has a slightly different feel to it. Yet, at the same time, I can't notice the difference lol

the anime has a sense of ridiculous seriousness to me, it follows the manga exactly but, the mood isn't quite as intense as the manga portrays... thats how it seems to me at least ╮(￣▽￣)╭
It's due to execution of comedy in the anime. Personally, I think it was off-putting. It worked with Ouran because it was romcom to start with but with this series, the director should've held himself back with that.
Does anyone feel that the anime has a different air to it than the manga? This doesn't mean that one is better/worse. Just curious to see if anyone has a similar opinion—it may just be something to do with the art, or a personal thing.
