Korea handles aging differently. Children are born 1 year old (the time in the womb, is the first year). Then everyone turns a year older on new years day. Since she was born in August, western aging would have her at 5 years old.

Anyone else confused as to why the author decided Taeyang should be 7... and entering kindergarten? Isn’t that a little too old? Shouldn’t she be in 1st or possibly 2nd grade? (Perhaps schooling is different in Korea?)
Also... why does she look like she’s 3 or 4 if she’s actually 7?
