The doctor is doing the exact thing Dojun wants because Dojun thinks everyone else is shoving alpha expectations on him.
Because he does have non-alpha characteristics. Dojun says it, he thinks everyone else does and he thinks It's a disadvantage for him because he doesn't fit the norm, but the doctor still wants him because he is an alpha. The doctor is not some cheesy prince charming but he's okay.
