this this this!!! tendou easily became my favourite character bc of how interesting and full she's written to be so seeing everyone hate on her while knowing her back story was so :(((( like they had no empathy at all imagine being abandoned several times, neglected, abused and then expected to just accept this random girl's friendship in which she over extends herself constantly to help you without thinking she's scheming or wanting smth in return. it was really ridiculous tbh HAHAH not everyone in the world learns to be kind regardless of how ppl treat them. most ppl learn to treat others the way they want to be treated but since tendou was treated poorly she treats others poorly bc they dont value her so why should she. and tsubasa was kinda selfish for pushing her feelings onto tendou tbh even i would have been rude to at some point
Yes people want victims to be like a cliche; kind in spite of cruelty. Bit like when adopted people are expected to be grateful for being adopted without any regard for their trauma. Or just poor people in general
I’m really happy to see that there are people who can actually empathise with Tendou and not just wet their pants in anticipation for romantic progression between the lead couple Whilst spitting venom at Tendou. I know that the majority of people are still stuck in that “Tendou is horrid (who cares if she’s always tried to maintain her boundaries that everyone else/FL ignored) Why can’t we get on with the main couple,” but I can see now that there are people who enjoy the story for what it is, which is more than a romance. Speaking of the FL I’m glad the author finally addressed the fact she was using Tendou to replace Ai-chan it was quite annoying seeing everyone feel sorry for her for being rejected when her intentions were never all that pure in the first place. Don’t get me wrong she still didn’t deserve to be treated rudely by Tendou but the hatred Tendou gets is ridiculous, you’d think she kicks puppies in her spare time. But yeh personally I’m happy with the way the lead couple is progressing, it’s slow compared to most other stories but it hasn’t felt inconsistent and I think it’d be best if everyone just accepted this is the way the author is going to do things. I’m sure once Tendou-arc is over theyll be back to Ai-chan and her crazy stepbrother which for me is far more irritating.
