I can’t let go the fact that he was harsh she was doing her duty do he has no excuse to say that but the manhua portrayed it way harsher than in the novel. In the mover he simply said don’t talk. He was genuinely worried that she was on the floor and she couldn’t do anything about it even if she tried. He was still very harsh tho but it was because he was very scared for and I think he telles her that. Let’s not forget that he’s really short tempered and he was already pissed off that those idiots invaded his land.

I think its the way it was translated. we all know Riftan's short tempered, then with the way it was translated, it came out way harsher.
