I hate comparing one person's hard work with another's but I have to say;
no doubt the art style, details and sheer influence of POTN on the BL genre is unmatched, but it's story has always been a bit lukewarm. It feels a bit slow-paced and dragged out at times which is acceptable but when we compare it to masterpieces like 'Painter behind the Curtain' with good art but a STELLAR, fast paced storyline, it falls short from its hype.

Don't get me wrong, I love POTN and appreciate the author's own level of genius but it can be a bit frustrating as a fan who feels as if the creator is capable of MORE than this. For e.g. the story started out quite interesting but the plot dwindled after Nakyum's almost group sex/ r*pe (?).
And speaking of Nakyum: he started off as a spunky, talented young painter and turned into a helpless baby after his kidnapping. (And no I don't mind the endless crying, I think its refreshing to see a male character cry so...freely). It makes sense in a way, because of his trauma, but idk...it left a little more to be desired.

But thank God we FINALLY got SOME Seungho character development ooof.
