Not defending him. I just feel he is like this because he lost his father that he loved so much when he was young and chiwoo was the only one that could fill the void so he wanted him for himself. He loves chiwoo but he feels scared that chiwoo might leave him like his dad. His means are questionable though. Chiwoo doesn't realise how much hwan loves him and at what length he can go just to be by his side.
