I wouldn't justify him and what he did but I feel like it's really out of his choice (?)
Thinking about animals, animals have strong territorial tendencies which is why some of them are aggressive. Matthew's kinda like that. We as readers often compare OMEGAVERSE dom to the animal kingdom.
But still. I wouldn't justify his actions. That's a no for me.
