The novel goes more into their rough relationship. He felt tricked bc he thought ‘Andrew’ (fake guy I can’t think of his name) hated him and discriminated against him - he loathes ‘Andrew’ so much and finding out ‘Andrew’=Andrew made him sick bc it’s disgusting to kiss and get intimate with the guy that ‘hates’ you. I think meeting Andrew in Seattle was a way for him to escape his shitty life for little, some time to sit back and relax…

I think he’s feeling that way because the guy was treating him like shit the hole time in school and called him disgusting, he even didn’t stop his friends from talking bad about him and mocking him. The guy made him feel sad, lonely, depressed, and made his one time experience studying a bored like shit. Then the same guy makes a fake profile and leads him on and telling him lies and as soon as he starts to feel better about his life he just finds out everything was a lie and there was no “Andrew” there was no person who was different, there was no body outside the place he hated the most that actually wanted to hang out and be in a relationship with it was his bully that was pretending and that’s why he feels disgusted and humiliated about everything.

At school he's constantly picked on despite him trying hard to make friends and be kind with everyone. ML was basically part of this- on a lesser scale ofc.

He meets "Andrew" online. He comforts him, talks to him on call, and supports him when he's down. For MC, Andrew gave him happiness and he was able to vent about everything that happens to him. He out all his trust into this one person. Andrew could've been anyone in the world and he wouldn't have cared, but he ends up being one of the people the treated him no differently than garbage.

It's not just Andrew ended up not existing, ML hid this fact for such a long time. You fly to meet a guy that you love and find out it was a guy that humiliated you. ML was also aware of the whole situation and decided to keep his identity as Andrew, I imagine he feels that he was being toyed around with.

I'm not blaming him? I'm just confused why he would think it'd be okay to go to Seattle be touched by a stranger technically. It's shitty that the guy who he believes hate him "currently" touched him but the fact that he was okay with being touched by someone else is weird and he should have met up beforehand for literal safety reasons??
