I don't know what to think of this story. Cutter is an idiot for just leaving FL behind, and then not communicating from abroad... there are telephones, etc. Of course Martin would be believed that Cutter had abandoned her. 3 months without communication? Couldn't have Cutter spare just 5 minutes of his time to call ? What was she to do ? Pregnant and penniless, and believing she was seduced by Cutter to separate her from his fiance brother. And here was his fiance still willing to marry her.
Too much drama that could have been solved with just a 5-minute phone call.
