Unlike most Harlequins, this story connected deeply with me. I too once had to make a choice similar to Isobel's, and how I regret it. To this day I still love that foolishly childish boy even though I know that because of my rejection he's now moved on and happier than he ever was with me. Yet it hurts even more to know that I can't do anything because the one he loves is a friend whom I treasure very much.
