He doesn't lack empathy at all. He empathizes with her right in the chapter by agreeing he would dislike being hated by her as well and then trying to find a solution to her issue. He is definitely cold towards others, naturally as he has grown up in an aristocratic setting where there is a big gap in treatment between people of different class. But he shows no sign of lacking empathy
ML seems to lack empathy. This worries me.
