But I must say that one thing that you don't see much is a factual reason for the secondary and the lead not to be together. Here you do. Yeah the other guy was bad. But there has been mangas when they say screw the good guy, I love the bad one. Let's live in sin!
Here, albeit small, you see how Matsubara's and Wataru don't see eye to eye regarding music, which may seem as a small matter, which is actually not since it says something about Wataru's view on the future, and how he would play anywhere for the sake of playing, which in the future Matsubara's might not be so supportive about it. But as they usually put the secondary character as a perfect match and the only thing you can hold against him is the fact that the primary doesn't love him. But here we see an actual discrepancy between the secondary and primary. And I liked that.
