A great read ! A beautiful pragmatic ending in my opinion. And I’m glad he let harada live, an ending for him would have been all too easy. Life is long for people who are suffering and miserable while an end is just that, the end. Also because it showed the dynamic and realism of hajime’s emotions, he felt something akin to infatuation or the buds of love for harada but at the same time harada’s betrayal which led to hajime loosing the people dear to him hindered of anything romantic ever blooming between them at the moment, so perhaps it’s one of the reasons why he was reluctant to end him off. I mean who knows what’ll be further on in the years to come for the two of them. But certainly for the present it seems like hajime has forcibly plucked whatever budding or blooming romance he felt, but it has certainly taken root. Ugh my heart was clenching so much but finally fully relaxed, a satisfying ending for their present situation
