I’ve said this before but how come so many of these new isekai authors keep writing headache inducing MLs but not in an interesting way? External and internal problems make a story more interesting (which is why we are all still reading) but how come the internal issues aren’t dispersed? A story is still a story and should be entertaining to read. Flawed characters are interesting but if all of the internal issues are coming from one character, it’s exhausting to read.
[less objective take:] Is it that hard to wonder “what did i do for her to want to divorce me?” Or “Where is everything that i bought? and why is she never wearing what i bought her?” This will move the plot forward. Miscommunication has kinda become a cheap way to have conflicts when there’s other ways. Since we’re only at chapter 20, I’m assuming the story is trying to establish a slower pace, so I’ll keep my frustrations to a minimum.
