I’m sorry but …

I’m sorry but ji wook is low key playing seung eon.

Seung eon no matter how much you disagree with the way he does things he is doing his best to try and provide for ji wook and try to have him next to him. Now you might be like this person is crazy seung eon is selfish and manipulative etc

But I have to say you only think that way because you are judging him base on your own standards. Seung eon is the kind of person that has never received loved from his parents or siblings, he was abused by his parent (forgot if it was both of them or just the dad… either way the mum didn’t seem to do shit to stop the father even if she didn’t partake in it she is also responsible) for no reason even when he does well and he was born into the rich family.

First of all the idea that he is selfish .. sure okay I give you that he can come across as that. It’s most likely because of the fact that he was born into a rich family and so he has always financially had money which contribute to him having a more superior mindset since he can financially get the things he wants and so has access to a lot of things but I also don’t think that’s something he can be hold accountable for, since it’s not like he had any say in which family he was gone be born into or how much money he wanted to have.

Now many people might continue disagree and say his selfishness is not about his wealth but his attitude and vocabulary he uses to get his points across but I think a lot of people draw into the conclusion that he is selfish with the statements he has made towards money - like ji wook keeps on hating on him because of that reason - but here is the thing… for him money really doesn’t hold that much value… imagine he has never experienced the lack or has been surrounded by lack so he doesn’t have any understanding of how that can have anything to do with people’s pride or be of such significant.

For Seung eon it’s only natural to say that he will give ji wook money and say them in such insignificant manners that keep hurting ji wook’s pride because money doesn’t mean anything to him. He has it and because he wants to have ji wook around he is willing to give however much to have him next to him.

Seung eon was right in telling Ji wook that he is holding on to his pride meaninglessly. But then I can’t really judge someone’s pride … since to them it hold so much value and most of times when you try to talk about it people get defensive about it.

And also the reason why Seung eon does the things he does in such rushed and desperate way goes back to the idea that he has never felt love, he has never been loved or been viewed as good enough by his own family so now that hr had found someone he has fallen in love with he is trying everything he can irrationally to hold on to them… he even said that because of ji wook he was able to dream and have reason in his life that inheriting the company would be worthwhile if it means he can have ji wook next to him.

Seung eon also has shown that he can easily put aside his pride for ji wook the guy that can have everything with his wealth was willing to go and eat food from the side of the street even when he knew he was gone get indigestion after it… he comes lives with ji wook instead of his place because his level of comfort is not about the location but rather having the person he likes next to him.

I don’t want to sound like I’m romanticising Seung eon because by no mean is his perfect. But at least he has been true to his feelings from the start… he has shown that he can listen to ji wook when he was asked to and he was mature enough to give ji wook space when he asked for it.

Ji wook never really tried to understand Seung eon but instead hold him accountable for the fact that he is rich and has the things Ji wook is lacking when to Seung eon does things mean nothing in comparison to feelings of love and a being loved.

I have said this before and I say it again I think my issue with Ji wook is not that he doesn’t accept his difference with Seung eon cause at the end of the day it’s up to him to decide if he wants any part in this relationship or not but it’s the matter of fact that he holds on to his meaningless pride when it hurts both himself and Seung eon’s feelings. And also the fact that he send mix message to Seung eon … like boy stop playing with both of your hearts and allow yourself to feel loved.

His in ability to be truthful to his own feeling and his lack of willingness to understand Seung Ron’s character is some aspects that I do not like about his personality.

But despite all of that I like them both and I’m rooting for their development. It’s just that I think these issues were not resolved even until the end of the manhwa since base on chapter 1 Seung eon most likely did something he thinks was a good deed for ji wook’s sake while ji wook seems to still be holding on to his pride and actions like a victim.

Your point about Seungeon never feeling love and affection, I think the same. To me, he came across as someone desperate to be loved.
As with JiWook, I feel like his mom abandoning him affected him as well as being poor. He doesn't understand why someone would care for him and that results in him acting cold and hurting both himself and Seungeon. Like, he doesn't want to admit to his own feelings because of that. He also needs to let go of this mindset that he has to do everything alone(he starts doing it )

I love how both of them have their flaws that they need to work on. It makes them more dimensional.

Yes desperate to be loved but then again only by Ji Wook.

And okay, yeah... I didn't consider Ji Wook's mum angle.

As you said that could potentially explain a lot about his approach but if that is fully true wouldn't he apply it to all of his relationships? cause he is so willing to stick around with that psycho guy and maintain their 'friendship'.

I remember after Seung Eon told Ji Wook about that psycho's true past and how he was not the one who had bought him the medicine he said 'he was still there for me when you weren't I'm power phrasing but it was along the same lines, so he does want someone to be there for him. Which as you said is most likely something he developed as a result of his mum abandoning him and his dad is never being around.

However, Seung eon has only ever been trying to be next to Ji Wook so that statement I feel is such a double standard especially since he was the one who had pushed Seung Eon away at that time and he was in fact the one who had actually bought the medicine for him and was caring about his well being. (maybe he has different standards for friendship and romantic relationships?)

I just feel sad for the way he deals with Seung eon feelings cause he usually portrays himself as the victim in every situation and most readers emphasize with him because he seems to be the weaker character so when he does things that are actually hurting and playing with Seung eon's feeling, his actions go unnoticed. While Seung eon who is doing everything in his power just to be able to receive love and give Ji Wook comfort gets portrayed as just a selfish golden spoon character that is irrational.

As for 'He also needs to let go of this mindset that he has to do everything alone(he starts doing it )' I think I missed the part that he has shown that in any way or form but I'm at least happy that he said he is willing to be with Seung eon and that he is gone try his best with that.

I glad he decided to be with Seung eon after seeing him like that...I'm rooting for them but I'm not letting myself be so hopeful because of chapter 1.

But I just hope this time around we will get more than 2 chapters of them being happy together before another issue arises.... and also that new character seems interesting I wonder if he will ever come across Ji Wook face to face or if the psycho will use him to create misunderstanding for Seung Eon with him.

But I do agree I like them both, no one is ever completely black and white, they sure have their greys.

It seems like JiWook has this double standard for some reason. Like, his first impresion of Seungeon stuck with him and he is unwilling to see he is not that same rude tacktless person he was when they met. And then there's Hyungseo, and Jiwooks first impresion of him was that he is good person and he never did anything to make him think otherwise so he has no problem with him doing stuff for him. Idk, he seems like he is judgmental and jumps to conclusions quickly.
I feel like he has victim and inferiority complex. Idk I think that would explain why he acts the way he does.

I see a lot if people hate Seungeon, but I just can't hate him. I feel so sad for him honestly, seeing how he really is trying his best yet Jiwook is acting like he doesn't even want to understand him.
Could Jiwook be acting this way because he wants to protect himself from heartbreak? Because as he said he sees this road ending sooner or later,. Thats why he doesn't want to agnoweladge his own feelings? But now he started to and that's why he finally admited out loud that he likes Seungeon and is willing to try and make the relationship work.

About that part, "He also needs to let go of this mindset that he has to do everything alone" I said that because to me it looks like, since he had to become independant ever since his mom left him and his dad would be away working, he wants to always do everything on his own and if he try to accept anyone help, even as moral support he become defensive.
So now that he seems he will listen to Seungeons words he starts to let go of that mindset. Idk if what I said make sense. English is not my main language so it's hard for me to get across what I mean.

That 1st chapter is making me unable to relax and be hopefull. The psycho will definitely do something to stirr drama soon using that Jiwook lookalike. Maybe film a video of him and send it annonymously to Seungeon???

I totally agree with a lot of the things you said there!!

and you did well to get your point across!

I totally agree that he had to learn to depend on himself because of his life situation, it's just I don't think he has shown in any of the chapters that he is gone change in anyway hehehe...I mean yeah sure we did see him admit to his feeling for Seung eon sake (finally) but I think that and his pride in needing to do everything on his own have anything to do with one another.

i guess we just have to wait until the 31st or 3rd to see how the writer is gone develop his character.
