It’s actually a really good wholesome romance comedy manga. The title does not mean yandere as in psycho. It means Yankee (gangster, delinquent)-Dere. In that she acts like she’s a bad girl delinquent but whenever Tanaka is around comes the lovestruck dere side. It’s just a poor choice of title. It should have just been called Delinquent Girlfriend or something.
If you’re looking for a light read that’s not stressful and not too serious (aside from the Tanaka backstory arc that happens late in the manga) this is a great choice. It’s super easy to pick up. There’s no serious annoying love rivals, bs harems, no lame ecchi, none of the trash. Just a straight to the point romance comedy with a few side couples that don’t eat up all of the main couples spotlight but still get their share.
