He will be. Rose is just using him, that is why she burned the estate I assume. And when he is messed up or dead or had no money left she will leave him. She doesn't care about him, she just wants money, sex and drugs and she will do anything to get what she wants. She doesn't love him likes he does on her, she just deals with it. So I believe Carter will be in pain at the end.
