ik mingyun is getting a lot of flak bcs of how difficult he is to deal with and it might not be the healthiest relationship bcs of his dependence on it, but i think its a piece of brilliant writing. his character is so realistic, so human and even though we call him coward, what makes us think we wouldnt do the same thing?
not even just mingyun but chun sam too. it’s difficult having partner who has suffered past trauma with self-destructive tendencies, and communication would obviously not come easy. both sides of the relationship is so human and i really love the writing for that.
of course it is a far from ideal relationship, but how common is a flawless relationship that doesnt suffer from speedbumps? in any case, the writer did an amazing job portraying a difficult yet loving relationship and i must say ive not read a story that has tackled such issues with such tact and grace in a long time.
ps taeyang is best boy and min gyun does need psychological counseling
