I Love it!

I love that they did NOT sleep together after the plane crash and that she was only trying to keep their body warmth up. I LOVE that the ML was kind, caring and understanding and not at all the typical Harlequin jerk lead. I LOVE that the baby WAS her ex-husbands and that she simply lied to him to help keep her son safe (and I 100% AGREE with that decision). I love that the ML didn't get mad at hearing that she lied to her ex about the son's paternity, claiming the child belonged to the ML instead. I love that at NO POINT did he utter the words "OF CONVIENCE" in regards to ANY proposal. I love that she became strong after leaving her ex, but was still showing realistic signs of fear. Most of all, I love that he waited until AFTER everything was resolved to confess and give a real proposal, so she didn't think it was just part of the ruse to catch David or because he felt sorry for her and Keir.

The ONLY thing I would change, is the line that stated she changed her last name and hid who she was to stay away from Rafe. It should have been because of David. It makes sense, and it is an HONEST, REAL reaction for most abuse survivors. And I don't care if he wasn't PHYSICALLY abusive. He emotionally and mentally abusive and that is JUST AS BAD. And it WOULD have turned physical at SOME point in time. There is nothing wrong with changing your name and hiding from an abuser if you or your children are in danger from said abuser. Also, the fact that she and Rafe hadn't slept together, it makes no sense that she would want to hide from him other than to hide from David, because she thought David still worked for Rafe.

Other than that, this checks ALL the boxes for a GREAT read and is definitely well worth the time to read it.
