this is pretty great, but unexpectedly heavy. especially considering that sora, the unofficial main character, is only in first grade. it's normally middle schoolers and high schoolers that become mechanisms in this type of prose. not that it's a bad thing, you just kind of have to adjust to it quickly because the interactions and internal dialogues are predominantly rich in substance and relevance to the situations in the story.
